Sterling Power Plant LC is developing its patented technology for the next generation of solar driven electric generators & air conditioners.
A one-tenth horsepower solar powered prototype has been completed. A one horsepower prototype is presently under development.
Sterling's low temperature thermal power converter, incorporating their patented "motorless refrigerant pump", produces electricity, air conditioning, and power from low temperature thermal energy sources including common rooftop solar hot water collectors, ocean thermal, industrial co-generation & engine exhaust heat, chimney heat, geothermal, and all other heat energy sources.
Early indications are that Sterling's solar power plant converts the energy of the sun into electricity and air conditioning for only 14% of the cost of a solar photovoltaic system - a cost per kilowatt hour less than grid-connected prices.
When offered commercially, Sterling's "motorless refrigerant pump" will provide economical 24 hour power for solar powered air conditioning & solar powered electricity.
Our patented solar powered cycle drove this engine and electric generator while
